Should We Call Time On Our Britney Obsession?

From the moment she burst onto the scene as a squeaky clean teenager she never failed to make headlines across the world. But, now a mere twitching curtain at the window of Britney Spears' Los Angeles mansion would attract a paparazzi circus.

Lately it has reached fever pitch following her recent spell in hospital after an apparent breakdown. But, does she deserve this goldfish bowl existence or is the media going too far in its pursuit of the star? We asked a man who knows his PR, Alastair Campbell, and he had some interesting answers...

I think Britney needs space from all those paparazzis. All they do is make money by taking so many photos of her. Everytime she goes places, they are here, there and everywhere. Britney wants to get on with her life and dosen't need all the pappy-show she gets from these people.


Remember what happened to Diana, it seems a few years pass by and the media think its ok to hound an individual. It's only a matter of time before something worst than drugs happenes to Britney. The people who by the papers and dont turn the TV over when she comes on are as much to blame, fueling the attention.
