This Blog Has Moved

July 01, 2008

This blog has moved.   As part of the changes to the Sky News website, our blogs are moving to a new platform and I am afraid that means they have new URLs.

Please clIck HERE to go to the new URL.

If you have bookmarked this blog, please make sure you change it to the new address.

Sky News blogs now have a new home page, displaying the latest posts, which you can find HERE.

If you want to make a comment on the new blogs, you will need to sign up. It's a simple process and will also allow you to use the new story-tracking feature on the Sky News site.

We have moved recent blog posts to the new blogs, but unfortunately we cannot move the comments as well. Sorry about that.

We hope you like the new-look Sky News site. If you have any comments please send them to us, either by using the survey form on the new site, the feedback area on the Discussion boards or by e mailing messages@skynews.co.uk

Many thanks.

Talking To A Serial Killer

June 27, 2008

Blog_tim_gattThe Moors murderer Ian Brady says he can pinpoint the spot where one of his victims is buried.

But can you trust a serial killer - especially one who has spent 40 years playing cat and mouse with the authorities? We will be talking to the man who spoke to Brady.

Also on tonight's show - where did it all go wrong for Gordon Brown? We'll ask Ian Dunt from politics.co.uk. I still think it is too early to write the next election off. To use a football cliche, politics is a funny old game.

"Where did it all go wrong?" is also applicable to Glastonbury. We will be speaking to the editor of virtualfestivals.co.uk about whether the rapper Jay-Z really is to blame. Personally, forget the music; the thought of waking up hungover in a wet tent surrounded by a field of mud is what puts people off.

See you at 7.30.

Spinning Skyscraper

June 27, 2008

Blog_emilyI'm not too sure I would want my office to be in a building that continuously rotates 360 degrees, but maybe that's just me.

I guess on the plus side, your view when looking out of the window, whilst day dreaming, would continue to change. This view is the very reason that architect David Fisher says he will be able to charge more per square metre.

To see the design, which does look pretty cool click here. You can also click through to our links page, where you can find links to all stories to be featured on the programme tonight.
