Alistair Allan, is a photographer and the founder of DirtyDirtyDancing.com, a website that he set up to post his pictures from nights out on the town.
Here Alistair explains how DirtyDirty Dancing came about. He will be joining us on Sky.Com News tonight from 7.30pm to tell us about the top stories moving across the web.
DirtyDirtyDancing started out about a year and a half ago, a friend asked me to take some photos of his new club night, so I did.
I set up a quick little site for friends and then started taking a few more pictures at other friends' club nights. Before I knew it, I was being approached by all of the fashion glossies for pictures.
Most people think I make a living from doing this, sadly not. Nobody can hire me for events, I do the occasional studio shoot for magazines, but for parties I just go out wherever my friends are going and take snaps.
I still have a day job too which surprises most people, I’m the Digital Director at Dazed and Confused.
One of the most impressive nights was Boombox, which has since closed it’s doors, but it was where the entire east end fashion scene would spend their Sunday nights.
I am still waiting for something as epic to attract all the fashion kids out again, hopefully something will happen in the summer, and I will be there to capture it in all it’s glory.
