Over the last year one story has dominated websites across the world: the search for Madeleine McCann. Today Kate and Gerry McCann came into Sky News to be interviewed about the investigation, how they are coping and how they dealt with being made into 'arguidos'. On Sky.com News tonight we will talk to our crime correspondent Martin Brunt who has been covering the story from the start.

Are the Police in Portugal closing the case on Madeleine. I believe they never actually did their utmost to find her They just focused on Kate and Gerry made them suspects and that is all they have done in this case. Is the man who recently tried to abduct a 15 year old Dutch girl in the Algarve been traced. This young girl gave a good description of her would be abductor and his vehicle, it should be on CCTV somewhere in the vicinity. All they (the police) have to do is study the tapes in that area. His description matched that of the man Jane Tanner saw that night carrying a child which looked like Madeleine. Another witness saw this same man acting susiciously earlier in the days preceding 3rd May. This lady said the man spoke and he was possibly Spanish.
I am just specualating here but, what if this man has been going up and down the coastal regions of Spain and Portugal abducting girls. There has been a teenage girl missing in Spain since New Years Day. Another 9 year girl was abducted and killed in Huelva.

Do you think it is right that Gerry Mccann should be allowed to appear on Sky tv and other channels and plead with people and specifically ask them to phone their number with the details of what they have told the police.
I fully agree with asking for any information that may lead to what happened to Madeleine
But what Mr Mccann is asking for surely is wrong and I cannot understand how sky and the other tv channels can agree to it.

Regarding an email comment that was aired yesterday re madeleine story. Somebody commented that we had all at some stage left our kids alone whilst we went out, this person can only speak for themselves and not others. As i was never left alone and nor have my 3 children been left alone so that i can go out to eat etc. My rules are cant get no one to look after the children then you stay in!

I only have one request to make to the McCanns. Please go back to Portugal help with the reconstruction and answer any questions that might be asked of you. Leave no stone unturned if it helps to find out what happened to your daughter.Thank you.
